Vietnam - Finland International School (VFIS) organizes Education Fair: Study in Finland 2023
On November 6, 2023, the Vietnam - Finland International School (VFIS) organized an Education Consultation and Information Fair on studying in Finland, bringing together nearly 20 top universities in Finland, a country known for its advanced and world-leading education system.
The event was attended by Mr. Keijo Norvanto - the Ambassador of Finland to Vietnam, Ms. Mac Le Thu Hong - Special Advisor at the Embassy of Finland in Hanoi, Dr. Vo Hoang Duy - Vice President of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU), Ms. Miekk-Oja Suvi Kristiina – Acting Head of VFIS, as well as representatives from educational organizations, universities in Finland, and nearly 200 parents, TDTU students, and VFIS students.
At the Education Consultation and Information Fair for studying in Finland at VFIS, parents and students had the opportunity to directly meet and exchange with representatives from leading research and applied science universities in Finland. Discussions revolved around the educational curriculum, scholarship policies, tuition fees for undergraduate and postgraduate programs, as well as guidance on choosing fields of study according to the students’ preferences. Furthermore, education experts and international students also shared useful information on job and settlement opportunities after graduation in Finland, known as one of the happiest and most peaceful countries on the planet.
Additionally, the event also saw the participation of representatives from universities in other countries renowned for their advanced education systems, such as the United States, Australia, Switzerland, Japan, among others. This aimed to provide students with a diverse array of opportunities to pursue their dreams of studying abroad and becoming global citizens on their journey towards a not-so-distant future.
Career guidance and study abroad counseling are central activities within the curriculum at VFIS, demonstrated through various diverse initiatives, including the annual study abroad information consultation event held at the school. Particularly, students not only have the opportunity to directly enroll at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) upon completing their high school program, but those with an excellent educational background from VFIS find it easier to become students at universities in Finland as well as partner universities of TDTU worldwide.
