The Deputy Ambassador of Finland, Mr. Touko Piiparinen, visited the Vietnam-Finland International School. 

On the morning of November 8, 2021, Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS) was pleased to welcome a visit from the Embassy of Finland, ​​led by Mr. Touko Piiparinen, Deputy Ambassador of Mission. Receiving the delegation was Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Ton Duc Thang University, Director of VFIS and representatives of teachers and officials of the University.

During his first visit to VFIS, Mr. Touko Piiparinen expressed his good impressions of the Finnish standard school model in Vietnam such as VFIS. Notably, the thoroughness in facilities and equipment at VFIS is almost no different from high schools in Finland, which is a very good condition for the President to effectively implement the educational program. In particular, in the context that teachers and students are gradually adapting to the new normal life after the Covid-19 pandemic, designing VFIS schools with optimal features will contribute to students returning to school in poor conditions as safe as possible.

Also at the meeting after visiting the school, Mr. Touko Piiparinen and the Executive Board, the Board of Management and VFIS teachers shared about the interest, support and cooperation from the Finnish Government for VFIS during the near future, including activities to improve the quality of teaching and learning, programs for cultural exchange, study, research and work in Finland for students during their study time as well as after graduation at VFIS.
