Recruitment Announcement for Foreign Teachers Teaching EAL (English as additional language) 

Job Summary:

EAL Teachers who are supporting and encouraging students in international programs. EAL Teacher who is in charge of connecting and communicating with Special Education Needs Teachers (SEN) in order to support students with special needs. EAL Teachers at VFIS will have the opportunity to set the tone for learning for the rest of a student’s life. While adhering to the core curriculum required by the academic team, teachers will enjoy the large autonomy to find creative, engaging ways to teach and support students and each other. Requirement Policy:

•    Master Degree in a relevant field
•    Professional Teaching qualification/license/certification as applicable
•    Preference will be given to those graduating with honors or holding a Master’s degree
Remuneration:
•    Air ticket from home countries to Vietnam at the beginning of the contract
•    Monthly accommodation allowance in Vietnam;
•    International health insurance
•    A school laptop and a 6-inch smartphone with basic data connection are provided;
•    Annual return air ticket to home country based on school policy and budget set;
•    Summer break plus school holidays according to VFIS’s academic calendar;
•    Maximum 10 days of paid sick leave per year with doctor certificate;

Recruitment Procedure:

Candidates will participate in FOUR rounds of competition, which are enumerated below:

•    Round 1: The candidate submits the application and the Human Resources Department will consider the application based on the recruitment criteria.
•    Round 2: The candidates selected in round 1 will be invited to interview with the academic department and Head of School about knowledge related to the objectives, methods, and forms of teaching. 
•    Round 3: Candidates selected in round 2 will be invited to participate in a demo lesson
•    Round 4: Candidates selected in round 3 will be invited to participate in the final interview with TDTU Recruitment Council and VFIS Leadership Board

After being recruited, teachers will be trained according to the Finnish contents, programs and teaching methods before officially teaching at VFIS.
