Vietnam-Finland International School End of School Year 2022 - 2023 Ceremony
On the morning of June 15, 2023, the Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS) organized the End of School Year 2022 - 2023 Ceremony. Attendees at the ceremony were Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Phuong, Deputy Director of the Education and Training Department of District 7; Dr. Vu Anh Duc, Chairman of the University Council of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU); Dr. Tran Trong Dao, TDTU’s President; Dr. Vo Hoang Duy, TDTU’s Vice President, VFIS Director; Dr. Tuomo Jaakkonen, Acting Head of School. In addition, there were representatives from RMIT Vietnam University, Fulbright University, Kindergartens, leaders of TDTU faculties and departments, VFIS teachers, parents and students from Grades 1 to 12.
With the efforts of the teachers and students together with the companionship and support of parents, the school year 2022 - 2023 of VFIS teachers and students has ended successfully. VFIS students are increasingly showing themselves as progressive individuals, with strong vitality and enduring internal strength, like the SISU spirit of Finnish education.
At the ceremony, the School awarded Certificates of Completion of the Primary and Secondary Programs to Grade 5 and Grade 9 students, rewarded students with outstanding academic results as well as those who achieved outstanding cultural, artistic and sports achievements in the past school year. In particular, the End of School Year 2022 - 2023 Ceremony also marks an important milestone for VFIS when the first Grade 12 students of the school have graduated from high school and now ready for their new journey at national and international prestigious universities such as: RMIT University (Vietnam), Griffith University (Australia), University of Massachusetts (USA), University of Auckland (New Zealand). In particular, many VFIS students have chosen TDTU as their destination for further knowledge and training with a direct recruitment policy exclusively for VFIS high school graduates.
The ceremony ended in an atmosphere of joy and excitement, showing the solidarity and consensus of teachers, parents and students, committing together to create the best for students at Vietnam-Finland International School in the future.
