Field of Valor at VFIS: A Journey of Willpower, Gratitude, and National Pride

In celebration of the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025), students at the Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS) participated in a special activity called "Field of Valor", which was designed to foster physical fitness, discipline, and patriotism.

Guided and trained by lecturers from the Defense - Security Education Center (DSEC) at Ton Duc Thang University, the students experienced a series of new and challenging military-style exercises. These included formation drills, group coordination, obstacle courses, and endurance exercises.

The atmosphere at the drill ground was vibrant and exciting, yet also highly disciplined. Each student had to push their personal limits, follow commands, and work together with their teammates to complete the challenges. This combination of physical training and mental fortitude helped the students internalize invaluable lessons: unwavering willpower, resilience, solidarity, and collective responsibility. These are the same qualities that have defined the heroic history and indomitable spirit of the Vietnamese people over 80 years of building and protecting their country.

On the same day, VFIS also hosted the "Vietnam Through My Eyes" painting activity, a space for students to express their feelings and love for the country through creative artworks on traditional conical hats. Each painting was a message of love, a sincere yet profound perspective on beloved Vietnam. The vibrant conical hats not only honored the beauty of traditional culture but also served as a vivid testament to the connection between the past and present in the hearts of the younger generation.
This series of activities to celebrate Vietnam's National Day was not only a rewarding experience for VFIS students but also helped spread a profound educational message: training one's physique and courage, nurturing a love for the country, and striving for a better future in the new era. These are the humanistic educational goals that VFIS consistently aims for, helping students become global citizens while maintaining a deep love and pride for their Vietnamese homeland.
