VFIS ‘Unleash your Potential’ Summer camp will get your children moving, appreciating themselves and their environment, and developing a positive growth mindset through active play, learning, and cooperation; turning the impossible into possible!

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

 

🎯 Ignite passion for technology and logical thinking through the world of Robotics:
✔ Strengthen and enhance assembly and programming skills: From beginner to advanced levels, students engage in consistent hands-on practice to master technology.
✔ Develop logical thinking and problem-solving: Learn to code and apply systems thinking to real-life situations.
✔ Interdisciplinary integration: Combine Math – Science – Technology in STEM activities, helping students apply academic knowledge to practical scenarios.
✔ Improve soft skills: Practice teamwork, confidently present ideas, and boost personal creativity.
✔ Build environmental awareness: Participate in relatable simulation projects to foster responsibility for nature and the community.

🎯 Build confidence, critical thinking, and language skills through English Debate:
✔ Speak confidently in public: Deliver structured, logical speeches using English fluently, organize arguments and supporting evidence effectively.
✔ Understand the basics of debate: Grasp foundational concepts and practice public speaking on global topics.
✔ Develop critical thinking: Learn to research and analyze issues from multiple perspectives and form clear personal viewpoints.
✔ Complete a final project: Deliver a 3–5 minute individual presentation on a self-selected topic in front of the class.

🎯 Enhance physical well-being and life skills – foster independence and resilience:
✔ Sports and physical activities: Students strengthen physical health, coordination, teamwork, and perseverance through games and exercises.
✔ Self-care activities: By cooking and planning meals, students learn to serve themselves, understand nutrition, maintain daily health, and develop healthy, independent habits.

• Duration: July 7 - July 25, 2025 (3 weeks, Monday-Friday)
• Location: Vietnam - Finland International School, 01 D1 Street, Tan Phong Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City
• Transportation: Parents pick up or School bus 

Program Overview

📘 3-WEEK PROGRAM ENTIRELY IN ENGLISH –
Each Week Features a Unique Theme – Each Day Brings a New Discovery

Week 1: Strong Start – Self Discovery
🤖 Robotics: Green Spirit – Create with Technology! 🌿
 Students will explore the benefits and processes of smart waste sorting and recycling. They'll learn about common waste types and are encouraged to creatively and effectively reuse materials. A key highlight is designing robots that simulate the process of waste detection, collection, and sorting – applying engineering thinking to real-world issues.
🗣️ Debate: Activate Your Mind – Master the Argument
 Students will be introduced to critical thinking by developing effective reading and writing skills and expressing personal opinions clearly. They'll learn to summarize texts, identify key arguments, and present content, thereby improving their communication and persuasive abilities.
🏃‍♂️ Sports & Physical Activities:
 Fun group games and creative movement sessions help students build physical fitness, flexibility, teamwork, and responsiveness in real-life situations.

Week 2: Explore & Be Independent – Holistic Development
🤖 Robotics: Animal Protection – When Technology Supports Nature! 🌿
 This week focuses on exploring the role of animals in nature, learning about endangered species and extinction causes. Students will design animal-inspired robots that simulate biological features and behavior, participating in rescue missions. This fosters both technological thinking and a deep appreciation for biodiversity.
🗣️ Debate: Deeper Thinking – Persuasive Excellence
 Students practice analyzing and debating from various viewpoints. They’ll learn how to structure persuasive paragraphs, organize content logically, and deliver compelling speeches. This helps develop flexible, in-depth critical thinking.
🍽️ Self-Service Skills – Independence from the Smallest Acts:
 Through basic cooking and meal preparation, students learn to care for themselves, clean up, and become more confident in daily life.

Week 3: Embrace Challenges – Let Your Light Shine
🤖 Robotics: Green Transportation – Tech Meets the Environment! 🌿
 Students will explore eco-friendly vehicles like bicycles, electric cars, and renewable energy applications. The main activity involves building and programming robots that follow specific routes, avoid obstacles, and make precise turns. This encourages innovation, sustainable thinking, and environmental awareness.
🗣️ Debate: Breakthrough Skills – Shine on Stage
 Students apply all their learned skills in 1-on-1 debates and confidently present their ideas. They'll engage in opponent-style debates, interpret charts, and compare evidence to boost their arguments. The week culminates in a final showcase, where students shine like real public speakers.

Fees & Discounts

• Course Fee: 18,000,000 VND per student
• Early Payment Discount: 10% off for payments made by May 13, 2025
• Refund Policy:

                 - 50% refund for cancellations before June 7, 2025

                 - No refund for cancellations after June 7, 2025

Additional Fees

Meal Fees:

• Fees: 80,000 VND per day, which includes lunch (55,000 VND) and an afternoon snack (25,000 VND).
• Refund Policy: The school will refund 100% of the meal fees if the student does not participate in the course at all.

• The above fees are based on the bus fare regulations for the 2024-2025 school year (rounded figures) for both round-trip travel.
• In case of using the bus service for one-way travel (either for going or returning), the fee will be the same as for a round trip.
• Public pickup points are according to the list of approved public points for the 2024-2025 school year.
• Refund Policy: If VFIS receives a notice from the parent about not using the bus service before July 7, 2025, the school will refund 100% of the bus fee.
