VFIS Cross Country Run 2025: Breaking Limits with the SISU Spirit

On the morning of February 23, 2025, Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS) proudly hosted the VFIS Cross Country Run 2025, with the enthusiastic participation of over 400 parents, teachers, and students in Ho Chi Minh City.

Inspired by the Finnish SISU spirit and the message “Sisu Spirit - Beyond Limits”, the event embodied values of resilience, inner strength, and determination to overcome challenges. The specially designed race route through the campuses of Ton Duc Thang University and VFIS, testing not only physical endurance but also fostering teamwork and individual perseverance. Heartwarming moments, such as children holding hands to cross the finish line, encouraging hugs between parents and their children, and cheers echoing along the running track, created a warm and motivating atmosphere, fueling every step toward the finish line.
 

The VFIS Cross Country Run 2025 also served as a journey to connect and spread the spirit of sports to all children. This year’s event held even greater significance as it welcomed students from shelters and charity homes in District 7 to join. This highlighted the core value of sports: no limits, no barriers, as anyone can overcome challenges and rise above with the SISU spirit and unwavering determination that resides in every child.
