Opening Ceremony - School Year 2026 - 2027

On the morning of September 5, 2026, joining millions of students across the nation in the joyful spirit of the back-to-school season, Vietnam - Finland International School (VFIS) solemnly held the Opening Ceremony for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. The event not only marked the beginning of a new school year, but also provided an opportunity for VFIS teachers and students to look ahead with confidence, excitement, and renewed aspirations.

In her welcome opening speech, Ms. Miekk-Oja Suvi Kristiina – Head of VFIS emphasized the shared goals that the VFIS community strives toward, from academic excellence to community development. She highlighted that while every member carries personal roles and responsibilities on their unique path, no one has to walk alone. The close connection and partnership among students, teachers, parents, and the School serve as the foundation for individual growth and a positive, thriving community. Ms. Suvi also expressed her hope that the upcoming academic year will be a journey where each day is lived to the fullest, where every individual realizes their self-worth, and where VFIS consistently remains a safe, welcoming, and inclusive home for all.

Another notable highlight of the ceremony was the official introduction of the VFIS Student Union for the 2026–2027 Academic Year. This initiative plays a key role in empowering student voice, responsibility, and proactive leadership in school life, offering members the opportunity to share creative ideas and spread positive values throughout the VFIS community.

The Opening Ceremony drew to a close, opening a meaningful new chapter – a journey filled with new knowledge, rich experiences, and exciting opportunities for every student to discover and realize their full potential at VFIS.

Welcome to the 2026-2027 School Year! Together, let us shape new values.
