On 27 March 2019, VFIS officially received an official assessment from the Finnish National Agency of Education stating that the curriculum, the teaching provided, mission, values and other activities largely corresponds to Finnish education. The school continues pursuing the updated validation with the trust in the consulting quality of Finnish education partners in building the mission, vision, goals, educational environment and detailed program for VFIS. In 2024, the Finnish National Agency for Education implemented the renewed policy on awarding certificate of program for a school outside Finland. Enforcing the Finnish teaching philosophy and school structure, The VFIS teachers are proactive in designing the program, selecting teaching methods and teaching materials. We aim for high quality education and seriousness in building and developing Vietnam Finland International school in a community of trust, equality and collaboration.

VFIS became an IB World School in 2021, authorised by the International Baccalaureate Organisation to offer the IB Diploma Programme. We are excited to be the first Finnish IB school in Asia.
