Ms. Dang Bich Phuong

Hello! My name is Phương. For the past seven years, VFIS has been an important part of my personal and professional journey. I have been fortunate to be part of the school community since its very first academic year, growing alongside VFIS as the school has grown. I began my time here as a Class Teaching Assistant in the Primary International side and later spent two years working in Crafts. These experiences have given me many opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with students in different ways.

One of the things I value most about being part of VFIS is the opportunity to learn more about Finnish education, language, and culture. I am particularly inspired by the Finnish approach to nurturing curiosity and encouraging children to become independent, lifelong learners. This philosophy resonates deeply with me, and I hope to contribute to our students’ learning journey by creating a supportive environment where they feel confident to ask questions, explore ideas, make mistakes, and discover their own ways of learning.

“Stay hungry, stay foolish.” These words remind me to remain curious, keep learning, and stay open to possibilities, even when I do not have all the answers.
