Vietnam - Finland International School holding the opening ceremony to welcome the academic year 2022-2023
On the morning of August 19, 2022, the Vietnam - Finland International School (VFIS) of Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) held the opening ceremony of the academic year 2022-2023.
At the Opening Ceremony, there was the participation of Dr. Tran Trong Dao - Acting President of TDTU, Dr. Vo Hoang Duy - Director of the Management Board of VFIS, Dr. Tuomo Jaakkonen - Acting Head of VFIS, heads of TDTU units, VFIS teachers, parents and nearly 500 VFIS students from grades 1 to 12.
Vietnam - Finland International School started the new academic year 2022-2023, and has been waiting for new successes after the efforts of teachers and students, along with the trust and support of parents over the last academic years. VFIS students are also increasingly showing themselves as progressive individuals who always aspire to surpass their own limits and prove themselves through many outstanding imprints in academic, cultural, artistic, and sports playgrounds both in Vietnam and in the world. The academic year 2022-2023 is also the year marking an important turning point for the first grade-12 students of VFIS with both international and bilingual programs ahead of the upcoming high school graduation exam.
On this occasion, VFIS also awarded scholarships to students with outstanding academic results, personal development and contributions to the community with a total value of nearly 2.5 billion VND.
At this event, Dr. Tran Trong Dao congratulated VFIS teachers and students, and affirmed that TDTU will always create the most favorable conditions for teaching and learning activities at VFIS; It is also a place to welcome VFIS students into the university's advanced training programs as well as connect them with prestigious education partners around the world for their higher education.
Vietnam - Finland International School is a member of TDTU, implementing the high school curriculum according to the Finnish educational prototype. In addition, VFIS also has modern facilities designed by Finnish architects, with the orientation of bringing comprehensive development and happiness to students with an open and flexible learning space. The school currently offers two educational programs: the International Program and the Bilingual Program for students from grades 1 to 12.
