Opening Cerremony Speech of Head of School

Dear esteemed guests, parents, teachers, and students of the Vietnam-Finland International School,

Welcome everyone to the Opening ceremony of the new school year at VFIS. Thank you all for being here today.

VFIS steps into the new school year where a motto is centered around unity. Rarely do we accomplish anything in isolation. By pooling our talents together, we can generate fresh ideas and perspectives. The combination of diverse abilities and viewpoints has the potential to yield entirely novel and innovative outcomes.
Consider, for instance,  this celebration: Students have practiced their performances with their teachers, and the band will bring these performances to life, resulting in outstanding results. Moreover, these performances would be impossible without the technical team who has arranged the necessary equipment, and the administrative team who has decorated the auditorium.

Rarely do we accomplish anything in isolation. The same applies to everything. Even in individual competitions, such as solo sports, there is a team and a support system behind each participant. Our educators have imparted crucial skills to us, spanning languages, mathematics, and critical thinking. We learn from one another and emphasize the importance of effective communication.

Numerous parents have expressed their unwavering support for the school, a sentiment that I deeply value. As the saying goes, "It takes a village to raise a child." Progress can only be achieved when everyone is united in purpose.

Many students are enthusiastic about engaging in various activities, contributing to the Student Union, and participating in initiatives that benefit both the school and the wider community. Our teachers are brimming with innovative concepts, and I am delighted to witness our school at the forefront of modern information technology as we embark on this new academic year filled with enriching learning experiences.

This year, our primary focus is on establishing realistic objectives and collaborating to attain them. While some goals are collective, I urge each individual to set personal goals, outline a plan to achieve them, and envision a moment of reflection during the closing ceremony at the end of the year, where we can all look back with a sense of fulfillment.

Together we can.

Right now,  I am honored to declare the Opening of the 2024-2025 academic year at Vietnam-Finland International School.

Thank you very much.
