Appointment of the Principal of Vietnam-Finland International School

On July 1st, 2019, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) announced the decision to appoint Ms. Seija Nyholm, Finnish expert, to be the first Principal of the Vietnam-Finland International School (VFIS).

Speaking at the Appointment Ceremony, Ms. Seija Nyholm thanked TDTU Management Board for their trust in her capability. She also thanked the involved units which have effectively supported VFIS to keep track of the progress and well implement the admissions plan. VFIS is the brainchild not only of the enthusiastic founders of TDTU, but also of Finnish educators who want to foster Finnish education in Vietnam.

Ms. Seija Nyholm graduated with a bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Yale University (USA) and a master's in Management and Organization Studies from Helsinki University (Finland). She taught English at Sydney Grammar School (Australia) in the nineties, then moved to Finland in 1999, where she taught at The English School (ENGS), a bilingual K-12 school founded in 1945. Ms. Nyholm held several management positions at ENGS, including assistant principal and secondary school principal, before moving to Vietnam in March 2019 and joining the core team of VFIS.
