- Scholarships for Current VFIS Students

1. Eligibility: Students from Grade 9 to Grade 12 enrolled in the International or Bilingual Programme at VFIS who meet the scholarship criteria outlined in Section 3.
2. Number and Value of Scholarships: 10 scholarships will be awarded to students in both the International and Bilingual Programmes. Each scholarship covers between 25% and 50% of tuition fees. The exact percentage will be determined by the Scholarship Committee on a case-by-case basis. If the number of eligible applicants exceeds the available slots, the Committee will prioritize candidates based on the school's criteria and individual assessments until all scholarships have been awarded.
3. Scholarship Criteria
3.1. Academic Performance
Based on the most recent three academic semesters, applicants must meet the following specific requirements:
a) For Bilingual Programme Applicants
Grades 7, 8 and 9 transcripts:
- Average score of at least 8.5 (on a 10-point scale) in Math, Literature, English, Natural Sciences, History and Geography, and Civic Education.
- None of the remaining subjects has an average score below 7.0
- Subjects assessed through comments must be marked as "Pass".
Grades 10 and 11 transcripts:
Applicants must meet the criteria of one of the two subject groups below, depending on their chosen subject group:
Science Group:
- Average score of at least 8.5 in Math, Literature, English, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- None of the remaining subjects has an average score below 7.0
- Comment-based subjects must be marked as "Pass".
Social Science Group:
- Average score of at least 8.5 in Math, Literature, English, History, Geography, and Economic & Legal Education.
- None of the remaining subjects has an average score below 7.0
- Comment-based subjects must be marked as "Pass".
b) For International Programme ApplicantsGrades 7, 8 and 9 transcripts:
- Average score of at least 8.5 in Math, English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, History, Social Studies, Ethics, and Health Education.
- None of the remaining subjects has an average score below 7.0
- Comment-based subjects must be marked as "Pass".
Grade 10 transcripts:
- At least 6/7 in Math and English.
- At least 6/7 average in Science group (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or Social Science group (History, Social Studies, Geography).
- No subject with an average below 4.0.
- Community project must be graded at C or above.
- Comment-based subjects must be marked as "Pass".
Grade 11 transcripts:
- At least four subjects with 6/7 points.
- No subject below 4.0.
- CAS programme must be on schedule.
- Comment-based subjects must be marked as "Pass".
3.2. Conduct Record: Minimum rating of “Good”.3.3. Essay: Written and presented by the student according to VFIS's provided prompts.
3.4. Recommendation Letters: Two letters from individuals who know the student well, at least one of whom must be a VFIS teacher.
3.5. Supporting Documents (if available): Certificates of community involvement, academic/sports/cultural/social awards or recognitions.
- Scholarships for New Students Enrolling at VFIS in the 2025-2026 Academic Year

1. Eligibility: New students from Grade 2 to Grade 12 entering either the International or Bilingual Programme who meet the criteria outlined in Section 3. Scholarships do not apply to students already studying at VFIS.
2. Number and Value of Scholarships: 20 scholarships will be granted to students entering either programme. Each scholarship will cover 25% to 50% of tuition fees. The specific percentage will be decided by the Scholarship Committee on a case-by-case basis. If there are more qualified applicants than scholarships available, selection will follow the school’s criteria and continue until all scholarships are awarded.
3. Scholarship Criteria
3.1. Academic Performance: Based on the most recent three academic semesters (or one semester for Grade 2 applicants), applicants must meet the following specific requirements
- Average subject scores of at least 8.5 out of 10. (If other grading scales are used, the Committee will convert to an equivalent score).
- No subject with an average below 7.0 out of 10. (If other grading scales are used, the Committee will convert to an equivalent score).
- Comment-based subjects must be marked as "Pass".
3.2. VFIS Entrance Assessment: At least 80% in each tested subject.3.3. Video Submission (2–5 minutes): Student presents responses to VFIS-provided prompts.
3.4. Recommendation Letters: Two letters from individuals familiar with the student.
3.5. Supporting Documents (if available): Certificates of community involvement, academic/sports/cultural/social awards or recognitions.
- VFIS Talent-Based Scholarships

1. Eligibility: Students from Grade 2 to Grade 12 enrolled in either the International or Bilingual Programme who meet the criteria. (The scholarship applies to current VFIS students and new students enrolling for the 2025–2026 academic year).
2. Number and Value of Scholarships: 5 scholarships will be awarded to students in both programmes. Each scholarship covers up to 30% of the tuition fees. The amount will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the Scholarship Committee. If the number of qualified applicants exceeds the slots, selection will be based on the school's criteria until all available scholarships are awarded.
3. Scholarship Criteria
3.1. Arts/Sports/Achievement Record: Students must have received awards in music, sports, or other arts competitions at city/provincial, national, or international levels within the last 2 years.
3.2. Academic Performance: Based on the most recent three semesters (or one semester for Grade 2 applicants):
- Average subject scores of at least 7.0 out of 10. (The Committee will convert scores from other grading systems to an equivalent scale).
- Comment-based subjects must be marked as "Pass".
3.3. Conduct Record: Minimum rating of “Good”. - General Principles

- Students who have registered and paid tuition at VFIS are still eligible to apply for scholarships as per regulations.
- Scholarships will only be awarded if the student fulfills their tuition obligations according to VFIS policies.
- Applicants must pay the placement fee or tuition fee within 14 days from the date of receiving the official scholarship offer letter. The remaining balance (if any) must be paid before the first day of school. If payments are not completed by the deadline, the scholarship offer will be revoked. The placement fee is non-refundable.
- Scholarships apply to tuition fees only and do not cover other fees.
- Scholarships are applicable for tuition payments made per semester or annually.
- Each student may receive only one form of tuition support, a fee waiver, or a scholarship, the highest in value. Scholarships cannot be combined.
- The scholarship is not redeemable for cash under any circumstances.
- The school reserves the right to amend and update the VFIS Scholarship Program and Policy annually.

- Copies of academic results from the most recent 3 semesters (Only the most recent semester is required for students applying for Grade 2)
- Copy of birth certificate English proficiency certificate (if any)
- Certificates of participation in community activities, commendations, or awards (if any)

- Timeline

- April 23, 2025 – May 23, 2025: Applications are accepted. New students will be guided to take the entrance assessment.
- From May 23, 2025: Applicants who meet the document requirements will be invited to a scholarship interview with the VFIS Leadership Team. Results will be announced no later than 30 working days from the date the student completes all assessment components.
- Within 14 days from receiving the result: The applicant must confirm the scholarship, pay the enrollment deposit or the remaining tuition (after scholarship deduction), and complete the enrollment process.
- Before the first school day of the 2025–2026 academic year: Final deadline for scholarship recipients to pay the remaining tuition (if any). Failure to do so will result in the withdrawal of the awarded scholarship. The deposit will not be refunded.

The scholarship applies to tuition fees only and does not cover other fees. New students must complete the entrance assessment and pay a non-refundable admission fee: 2,250,000 VND for Grades 1–5 ; 4,500,000 VND for Grades 6–12
