With the teaching method following the Finnish education philosophy, putting learners at the center and orienting lifelong learning according to the 4 core values “Vitality, Flexibility, Inclusion, Sisu”, VFIS students after graduating from high school have full thinking and self-learning abilities, cultural competence, information technology and communication skills, life skills and entrepreneurial spirit, foreign language proficiency as well as other abilities to be able to continue to improve their level at any university institution. 

In order to create conditions for VFIS students to continue to cultivate and train at Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) to be able to maximize personal abilities in their own career training. The school implements the policy of prioritizing admission to Ton Duc Thang University for students of the Vietnam - Finland International School, academic year 2024-2025. Specifically as follows:

1. Subject and scope of admissions for VFIS students:

• According to Point a, Clause 1, Article 5 of Circular 08/2022/TT-MOET on university enrollment regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training: Candidates for university admissions must be those who are recognized as having graduated from high school in Vietnam or have foreign diplomas recognized equivalent qualifications.
• VFIS students have a Vietnamese high school diploma or a high school equivalent diploma (certified by the Department of Education and Training), they are eligible to apply for admission to TDTU's university programs; In case only the IB Diploma is available and if the level is not recognized as equivalent to the Vietnamese high school diploma, it can be considered for joint programs with a single degree (if it meets the entrance requirements of the partnership School).
   

2. Admission Policy for VFIS students

a. Subject 1: Students who have completed the 12th grade high school program from 2023 and studied 3 consecutive years of high school at VFIS; Have English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or higher; Have a grade point average (GPA) of 7.0 or higher in grade 12; Have a Vietnamese high school diploma or be recognized as equivalent to a Vietnamese high school diploma

Scope: Direct offer admission to all undergraduate programmes.

• International Joint Programmes 

b. Subject 2: Students have completed the 12th grade high school program from 2023 at VFIS; Have English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or higher; Have a GPA 6.5 or higher in grade 12; Have a Vietnamese high school diploma or be recognized as equivalent to a Vietnamese high school diploma.
Scope: Direct offer admission to the Undergraduate Programs in English language.

c. Subject 3: Students have completed the 12th grade high school program at VFIS from 2023; Have English proficiency equivalent to IELTS 5.5 or higher; Have a Vietnamese high school diploma or be recognized as equivalent to a Vietnamese high school diploma.

Scope: Admission to the international joint programmes

d. For VFIS students with IB certificates and English proficiency of IELTS 6.0 or higher, they will be admitted directly to the international joint program when they meet other entry conditions of the degree Affiliated School (guarantee the graduate diploma requirements of the International Affiliated School) or TDTU will introduce VFIS students to study at TDTU's Partner Schools (if eligible).

3. How to register: 

+ Candidates register using the registration form downloaded from the website https://admission.tdtu.edu.vn.
+ Candidates continue to register their preferences on the Ministry of Education and Training system within the specified time.

- Admission principle: each candidate can register 01 preference.
- Registration time: From 04/01/2024.
- Admission documents:

• Admission registration form
• Notarized photocopy of high school transcript/scoreboard.
• Photocopy of international English certificate as regulated (if any)
• Photocopy of priority proof documents (if any)
• Photocopy of certificate of good student achievement (if any)

- Address to submit documents: University Office (A005), Ton Duc Thang University, 19 Nguyen Huu Tho, Tan Phong Ward, District 7, Ho Chi Minh City.
- Admission fee: 20,000 VND/preference. Candidates pay online on the system as instructed. Candidates must complete the full admission fee to be considered for admission. This is a non-refundable fee.
