“Hello! My name is Jeff Thrash. I am a Primary Educator originally from the USA. I have been living here in Ho Chi Minh City for the past 15 years with my family. I am joining VFIS having recently spent the past 10 years as a Primary Homeroom Teacher, working with students from a range of nationalities, with nearly all of them being multilingual learners . I enjoy facilitating student growth through a student-centered approach by working to discover what students’ interests are, what type of support is needed, and working to allow students to help guide their own learning journey. I am very much looking forward to this new journey and meeting all of the wonderful students and parents that are part of the VFIS community.”

“Dear Parents, my name is Jordan Edwards, and I am thrilled to join the faculty at VFIS. I grew up in the vibrant city of Nashville, where my passion for education began. I earned my bachelor's degree in Exceptional Student Education with endorsements in English as a Second Language and teaching students with Autism Spectrum Disorder at St. Petersburg College in Florida. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching in California, Florida, and Ho Chi Minh City, working with diverse groups of students, including those with disabilities, English language learners, and general education students. I also have experience developing and implementing Special Education and Reading Intervention programs. I have successfully helped students reach grade level and achieve their goal of graduation. My experience includes teaching self-contained classes and small groups, always focusing on creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all. I am particularly excited to be working at VFIS and to continue my journey here in Ho Chi Minh City, a place I have come to love. Having already lived in this dynamic city, I am eager to immerse myself further in the local culture and community. I look forward to contributing to the academic and personal growth of my students and collaborating with my new colleagues to create a positive and enriching educational experience. Thank you for welcoming me to the VFIS family. I am excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to a wonderful school year.”
